So apparentley your only supposed to put like 300 miles on one pair of running shoes. In the back of mind I guess I knew that, but for some reason I think I've put about 1,000 miles on these good ole' addidas that i've ran in now for the past 5 years (could be longer my memories not so good). So I am officially putting these babies to rest, which I feel pretty good about since i've trained for and accomplished my goal of running a 1/2 marathon.
My friend Keith and I ran the Seattle Rock n Roll 1/2 marathon last month and it was much better than I thought it would be. The thought of running 13 miles made me a little nervous, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I survived, which is always a good sign, had a great time and wasn't even that sore the next day. A full marathon is still not appealing to me, but I'll for sure be a participant in a 1/2 again.

It was really nice having the fam there to cheer me on. They were on the street about 1 1/2 miles before the finish line, which was a nice boost for the finish.

Keith and I rushing to the start line for no reason. The race started at 7 a.m. and we were all assigned to corrals. Keith was in corral 7 amd I was in 37, the very last corral. I managed to work my way up to corral 32. It was driving me nuts to have to wait so long and even then I was still an hour behind Keith's start time.

Can you see me? Nope because my corral was all the way in the back and around the corner. There were 25,000 participants.
